It’s been a good day for the Church of England with the consecration on Bishop Libby of Stockport, and a rather good day for heaven too, with the arrival of a couple more faithful Christian souls at the pearly gates (pick your metaphor for death). All of when means that between the happy stuff and a cheery baptism visit, it’s been tough on this Rector.
So Janathon tonight was bell ringing practice, which I could have skipped. I’m glad I didn’t, I’m getting better all the time, and can nearly ring reliable rounds now. and it is surprisingly hard work, physically and mentally. No pub afterwards, but there will be next week!
